KiddyTV Islamic is a learning game for children aged about 6–8, made for family co-viewing on Apple TV. Everything is navigated with the Siri Remote, and the type is sized to be read from across a living room.
- Islamic Q&A — 200 questions across 20 topics, three answers each.
- Arabic Word Challenge — 200 Arabic words in 20 groups; pick the right meaning.
- Dua & Adhkar — 70 duas: read one, then put the missing pieces back.
- Islamic Memory Challenge — remember the pictures, then find the one you are asked for.
- Building Blocks — in development; the tile is visible but not yet playable.
Requires an Apple TV running tvOS 18 or later. No internet connection is needed to play.
How do I set my child's name and age?
From the home screen, press up to the profile chip in the top right and open it. Name, age, Learn Mode and Read Aloud all live there. Name and age are optional, and everything saves as you type — there is no Save button to press.
What does Learn Mode do?
With Learn Mode on, a short explanation appears after each answer, and again in the end-of-round summary. Turn it off for a faster game.
What does Pro unlock?
The free version includes three topics in Islamic Q&A (Allah, Quran, Prophets), three word groups in Arabic Word Challenge (Colours, Numbers, Family), and all of Islamic Memory Challenge and Dua & Adhkar. Pro is a single one-time purchase — not a subscription — that opens all 20 quiz topics and all 20 Arabic word groups, with more Pro features arriving in later updates. Anything not built yet is labelled “Soon” on the upgrade screen rather than sold as finished.
Why do I have to hold the remote down to buy?
That is the parental gate. Press and hold the Siri Remote touchpad for about two seconds to pass it. It stops a child reaching the purchase screen by pressing buttons, and it needs no typing.
I already bought Pro — how do I get it back on a new Apple TV?
Open the profile chip → the Pro row → Restore purchase, while signed in with the same Apple ID that made the purchase. There is nothing to pay again.
I bought Pro and nothing unlocked.
If your household uses Ask to Buy, the purchase waits for a parent to approve it on their own device, and the app says so rather than charging anything. Once approved, Pro unlocks by itself — the app does not need to be open at that moment. If it still has not unlocked after approval, use Restore purchase, and email us if that does not fix it.
The Listen button in Dua & Adhkar is silent, or sounds like a computer voice.
Each dua has a recorded clip that downloads the first time it is played and is then kept on the device. With no internet, or while the clip is still arriving, the app reads the dua with the Apple TV's own built-in speech instead, so the button always does something. Check that Read Aloud is on in Settings and that the TV is not muted.
How do I turn the speech off?
Profile chip → Read aloud. That switch governs every spoken voice in the app.
Can I reset progress, or add a second child?
Not yet. Today the app keeps one player, and progress is cleared by deleting the app from the Apple TV. Multiple child profiles are planned for a future update.
Is my child's information sent anywhere?
No. Names, ages, settings and progress stay on the Apple TV. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The privacy policy has the detail, including the one thing that does use the network — downloading dua audio clips.
Is there Arabic, Urdu or Tamil?
The app's own text is English today. Duas are shown in Arabic script with transliteration and an English meaning, and the Arabic Word Challenge shows each word in Arabic. Full translations are on our list for a future update.
I think a question or a translation is wrong.
Please tell us — email the exact wording and we will check it. Content accuracy matters more to us than shipping fast, and corrections go out in the next update.
