Privacy Policy
Effective July 5, 2026 · Applies to Focumo for iOS, version 1.0 and later
The short version: Focumo collects no data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no servers. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
Data we collect
None. Focumo does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data or usage data. The app has no server component and makes no network requests to us or to any third party.
Data stored on your device
To do its job, Focumo stores the following only on your device, using Apple's standard app storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults):
- Your tasks (names, pomodoro estimates, and completion counts)
- Your completed focus sessions (start time, duration, and the task they counted toward), used to show your stats and streaks
- Your settings (durations, sounds, theme, language, and similar preferences)
This data never leaves your device. It is not synced, backed up to our servers (we have none), or accessible to us. Deleting the app permanently deletes all of it.
Notifications
If you grant notification permission, Focumo schedules local notifications (for example, "Focus session complete"). These are created and delivered entirely on your device; no push-notification service is involved.
Live Activities
The timer countdown shown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island is rendered on-device by iOS. No data is transmitted.
Third-party services
Focumo contains no third-party SDKs — no analytics, no advertising frameworks, no crash reporters.
Children's privacy
Focumo collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Focumo ever changes how data is handled (for example, optional iCloud sync), this policy will be updated first and the change will be called out in the App Store release notes. The current policy will always be available at hypecode.app/focumo/privacy.
